D.K.T.E. SOCIETY’S TEXTILE & ENGINEERING INSTITUTE, Ichalkaranji enjoys a unique and prominent place amongst the Engineering colleges that are engaged in education, training, research, and consultancy in various disciplines of engineering. DKTE has been founded in 1982. Institute has been catering to Diploma, Graduate, Post-Graduate, and Doctorate programs in Textile, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Management Studies (MBA). We have around 4000 students and 215 faculty members. Institute was started in the year 1982 and is the First Institute in the state of Maharashtra started on a no-grant basis. The Institute has achieved remarkable milestones and glorious achievements, a few of them are-

  1. The institute is running, 3 Diploma, 12 UG, 06 PG, and 04 Ph.D. programs.
  2. Received autonomy in 2016 and we received Empowered Autonomy from Shivaji University in 2023.
  3. Institute is NAAC accredited with A+ Grade consequently for two cycles.
  4. Institute’s almost all programs are NBA accredited. One of the programs has received 6 years of accreditation. In western Maharashtra, ours is the only Institute that got 6 years of accreditation.
  5. For the last three years consecutively, the Institute has been figured in NIRF innovation Ranking at the National level.
  6. The institute has emerged as the Winner of ‘Best Industry-Linked Engineering Institute”- three times (in year 2015,2017,2021) in the nationwide survey conducted jointly by AICTE and CII.
